Skaleton is built to be played by as many people as possible – with one hand or two, left or right, with or without any music theory.

Left, right or upside down

Flip the grid horizontally for left-handed playing, or vertically to turn it upside down. Then pick the layout that fits your hands: guitar or bass tuning, fourths, fifths, thirds or one octave per row.

Bigger pads

Choose small, medium or large pads. In FOLLOW, FILL spreads the notes of your scale across the whole row: a pentatonic scale gives you six big pads per row – its five notes plus the root again – instead of thirteen small ones.

One hand, less movement

HOLD keeps notes sounding without keeping your fingers down, so you can set a drone or a chord and play over it. The two sticks can stay where you leave them, or move by themselves. CUEs change scale, root, sound and pedals in one tap, without menus.

Seeing

Skaleton is dark throughout, and a high-contrast setting makes all dimmed text and borders around twice as bright. Pads show each note as a number, flat, sharp or interval quality – not only as a colour.

No wrong notes

In FOLLOW the grid holds only the notes of your scale, so every pad you touch fits. Gaps can be dimmed or muted for a calmer grid. That makes Skaleton a good fit for beginners, children, music education and music therapy.

Start simple

The GUIDE starts with just the rings, the grid and the sticks, and explains each part right where it is. The full Skaleton opens up when you’re ready. No account, no ads, no pop-ups.

A fair price, everywhere

Skaleton costs €24.99 in the Netherlands, once, with everything included. But €24.99 means something very different in Zimbabwe than in Switzerland. So prices are set by hand for every country, based on what money is worth there – purchasing power – not just on the exchange rate. Schools and music teachers get 50% off when they buy 20 copies or more through Apple School Manager.

Not there yet

Skaleton doesn’t support VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text or Reduce Motion yet. They’re on the list.
